General news and Competitions

The 2010 Jonathan Paton Memorial Croquet tournament was held on 16 June at the Johannesburg Country Club.

CCJ hosted the Gauteng Association tournament over the Easter Weekend. The lawns were true and fast and despite rain on Friday and Monday, all the matches were completed under the management of Henry Watermeyer. See results here and Photos here.
The Gauteng golf croquet tournament will be held during the first two weekends in May. A good number of entrants are expected. Spectators are welcome so come down to the lawns and see what it is all about.

Facilities

The lawns have an exceptional setting in the gardens of The Country Club.
There are 3 courts normally, but can be 4 for tournaments. Floodlights are available for evening play.
Victor Dladla (SA National golf and association croquet champion) is the full time administrator and coach. By arrangement croquet players can stay at “the Lodge” at the club which has 18 en-suite bedrooms.
Golf and Association croquet are both played regularly on the lawns.

The Club hosted the SA Association Nationals in November 2008.
